Change Imac RAM Memory
Imac RAM replacement
First get new RAM modules for your Imac here a 1 GB, 2 x 1GB, 1 2GB or 2 x 2GB DDR-PC2100 will do
In order to change your RAM memory in your new Imac you need to unscrew the memory slot cover that is in the bottom edge of the screen like it’s shown in the picture above.
Then depending on your Imac model you need to pull a small tab that’s there to protect the installed RAM modules in your imac.
Slide in the module pressing with both thumbs until you hear a faint click that will tell you that the RAM module is installes in place in your Imac.

Tuck the protecting tab over the RAM module and screw in the protecting cover.
Turn on your Imac and it should recognize your new RAM memory automatically.
